Hello guys! On this day, my website is one year old. (Yey!!!)
There's no big buzz. No big celebration. No hoopla. But it's been a good year of sharing about my life, my being gay, and my thoughts on things that are of interest to me. I'm looking forward to another good year, if not better.
I hope to make the site better. Make it a worthy read. Maybe attract more readers with more interesting, thought-provoking, and controversial topics. If not, maybe just the truth about things, even the simplest ones.
I thank the readers, although not too many, but still, I appreciate the support. It's nice that I get to reach other people in different parts of the world and share who I am and what I think about being gay and different things. It's comforting.
Thanks again.

Norway may be the next country to legalize gay marriage.
The Norwegian government has proposed a law that when passed will:
1) make civil marriage gender-neutral
2) give parenthood rights to the partner of the biological parent of a child (the sample cited in the article is about lesbians who have undergone In Vitro, I don't know if it applies to gay couples)
3) give gay or lesbian partners complete joint parenting rights in cases of adoption
Of course, some have expressed opposition to the proposed law. But according to the Norwegian news agency NTB, the draft bill will probably receive the support of parliament.
People against gay marriage argue that if this is allowed, it will weaken the institution of marriage. I don't get why they keep saying that, when a lot of heterosexual marriages end in divorce or separation.
According to Family Issue minister Anniken Huitfeldt. "The new law won't weaken marriage as an institution. Rather, it will strengthen it. Marriage won't be worth less because more can take part in it."
