Philippine 2007 Elections

The Nationwide 2007 Philippine Midterm Elections was today. I ask this questions for all the Filipinos, did you vote? I didn't. It's my fault. I didn't get to vote because I am not registered. Actually, ever since I was old enough to vote, I have never voted. I was indifferent.

I tried to register last election. I was discouraged because it was hot and lines were very long. There were a lot of people cutting in line as well. I also had this midset that my vote will only be useless since politicians will just cheat anyway.

Now, I changed my mind. I think there is still hope. Though it will take time for changes to occur. Maybe not immediately, but things will change. At least I will participate and exercise my constitutionally protected right. So I made a promise to myself, on the next election, I will register even if it's hot and the lines are long.
